This week on the show we speak to Saliha Rashid who is now hoping to become a barrister after she completed a top university degree. The 21-year-old campaigner who is registered blind is using her experiences to campaign for the rights of Asian women and spoke recently at the House of Lords. She is now hoping to work in the field of criminal and human rights law. Saliha Rashid has also won both the ‘Young Achiever’ and ‘Woman of Achievement’ award at the annual Sue Ryder Yorkshire Women of Achievement Awards. We speak to her about her life and future plans.

On todays show I speak to Alcohol and beyond founder Harvey Khaira and his mother Dalbir kaur Khaira. Harvey has found a way to use his experience and on going recovery to help other people. I wanted Harvey's mother, Dalbir also to be in the conversation as I wanted to get a mothers perspective of alcoholism in a family. Dalbir's late husband, Harvey's father also had his own battles with Alcohoholism and I wanted to see how this shaped their family dynamic. Harjap Bhangal is an immigration lawyer and TV personality with his own TV show called Legal Solutions on MATV Sky Channel 793. He has also released a monthly, bilingual, immigration magazine called Immigration Today, which discouraged illegal immigration and promoted the correct ways to migrate abroad. His first TV show was called Law & U on Vectone Punjab, he currently appears on a MATV show called Legal Solutions. Harjap featured in a documentary made by the BBC World Service about a day in the life of his work. He has become a Punjabi cult figure with his quick wit and his refreshingly honest advice.
