Kalbir Bains drops by to talk about her life after her book, Not Our Daughter (true story of a daughter-in-law) was released.
Kalbir is a volunteers with The Sharan Project and Women of Future, visiting schools, colleges, and universities to engage with students and talk about ways they can help safeguard each other and help those affected by honour-based abuse.
Kalbir was the winner of the 2018 Asian Women of Achievement award in the Social & Humanitarian category. That same year she became an ambassador for the Women of the Future Ambassador's Programme, sponsored by Lloyds Bank.
